This staircase rebuild project in Shannon Lake (West Kelowna) gave us the opportunity to replace an aging and unsafe stair system that had originally been built using railway ties. Over time, the old materials had rotted and decayed from prolonged ground exposure, creating serious structural concerns. We rebuilt the staircase using durable 4x4 pressure-treated lumber designed to withstand below-ground moisture and seasonal weather conditions common throughout the Okanagan Valley, then installed a brand-new aluminum handrail system to improve both safety and long-term durability.
